These wholesome biscuits are the perfect companion to a hot cup of tea or milk/ coffee, and have the buttery taste & flavor, that you will fall in love with.
Ingredients:
- 175 g soft butter
- 2 eggs
- 4 tablespoons sugar (brown or white or you can replace it with honey)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- a pinch of salt
- pure vanilla extract
- cinnamon
- a large cup of whole wheat flour and a large cup of all-purpose flour, plus more for work surface
- some orange and lemon peel (optional)
Method:
Flour is added to the result, over the other mixed ingredients . You can add the flour alternating a whole wheat tablespoon flour with a tablespoon all-purpose flour. The final texture should be smooth so you can spread it with a paddle.
Preheat oven to 180 C degrees.
Roll out dough on a lightly floured work surface to a 28 cm round just more than 3/4 cm thick and cut into shapes (if you don’t have cookie shapes you can use a glass of small diameter).
Place them in a pan covered with baking paper. In about 10 minutes at medium temperature (170-180 C degrees), the biscuits are baked and good to be served.
Surely kids and not only will devour them!
